Our diary entries from tuesday to friday:
Day 1
9:20 - VB: Im still alive. My stomach feels empty, and I couldn't eat apple pie cause of this whole diet thing. THAT HURT. I gotta go drink some water now.
PS. Id like some coffee
9:45 - CSB: Im hungry but I dont feel desperate yet. I had forgotten how bad grapefruit is.. and not very filling.
13.50 - VB: Sitting in Kaisa's cafe and not eating. Its getting too hard. IM ABOUT TO FAIL!!!
14.15 - VB: FEELS LIKE DYING! CSB would like some homemade soup right now. We are pondering over the question of sports: Should we go to pilates and bodypump or not? ARE WE STRONG ENOUGH ANYMORE???
14.19 - CSB: This is not a healthy environment! Kaisas cafe is not the place for dieters. My stomach is sooo empty. Im starting to HALLUCINATE! I see floating sandwiches and its only 14.30! What have we gotten ourselves into?
Day 2
13.16 - VB: Planning food for saturday, when we will be free from this crap. There was cheese at lunchtime and we couldnt have have any.. AND bananas. Pizza would be good right now. Though at the moment I dont feel all that hungry, which freaks me out. My stomach is already getting smaller! Im gonna have to work hard to get my appetite back!
13.26 - CSB: Day two and it SUCKS! Everyone is eating around us and our stomachs are GROWLING! I dont know what else to say because my brain is so empty from you know.. not eating! But I hope you people understand how much dieting sucks and how much happier people are when theyre eating good food! PS: Saturday were gonna have so much food! Were already planning all the things we can eat! Nachos, sushi, cheese, COFFEE<3
19.55 - VB: Today when I had my dinner, I actually got full. I had difficulties finishing my "meal". I had a weak moment around 19.50 and I was close to giving up, But CSB gave me new faith and Im back in the game! TWO DAYS TIL FREEDOM!
Day 3
09.52 - CSB: Hungryyy, I am so hungryyyy, I could have some curryyyyy, OH SO HUNGRY! Day three and feeling weak, luckily were half way there (OHOOOH LIVING ON A PRAYER) Two days down and tomorrow its over!
10.31 - VB: Decisions made! We are ending this suffering this time tomorrow!
Day 4
09.34 - VB: 1 hour and 26 minutes to go. FEELS AWESOME, Im gonna get pizza and Im so proud of us but OMG Im never doing this again. Dieting is hell. But we made it, now we can eat unhealthy crap for the rest of our lives. BTW, I lost 2cm from my waist and 2 kilos but the shit we had to go through.. NOT WORTH IT. Headache is about to end.
09.48 - CSB: Were almost there! GOLDEN RAX PIZZA BUFFET is waiting! I can already taste the all you can eat pizza. So, this diet made me lose 2 and a half kilos but its so not worth fainting in bball practice. Plus, I was always hungry, cold, feeling faint, suffering of headaches and CRANKYYY! These were the longest 4 days of my life... thankyou for reading ;)
Our conclusion to this 4 day wonder hell is that.. DONT DO IT! We have definitely proved our point and can now diss diets for the rest of our lives. Overall we are just happy that this experience is now behind us and we never have to do anything like this again.

The 4 Day Wonder Diet (more like starve yourself to death diet but however you like it)
Before you get us wrong, us bagels hate diets. They never work and usually just make you gain weight rather than lose any. But we have all heard about these wonderful magical diets that are supposed to make you lose weight by 3 days or something so now we have a mission! Our aim is to show all of you that these diets do not work. They will just make you feel sick and weak and not feeling good. We think that dedicating your eating habits to something as crazy as this is just.. well crazy. You're just gonna be on a crappy mood and wont be able to enjoy your eh skinniness. Us bagels are ready to suffer to prove all these stupid diets wrong, so this is what we will be eating from monday to thursday:
An eight ounce glass of water is recommended 30 minutes before each meal, 30 minutes after dinner and at bedtime to increase satiation and flush out fat and toxins.
This is only one example of all the diets you can find around the internet. It takes four days and is pretty unhealthy. And just to make it clear were not gonna go through with this if we like.. go into a coma or something because you know.. we are used to a big amount of food :DD. So this is gonna be especially tough on us since the difference between our usual eating habits and this is like HUUUUUGE.
So wish us luck and lets see if were capable of doing this! We will write down diary entries every day and post them together as one big post someday next week to see if any progress is happening and how we are feeling.

We were volunteering at a charity called Nälkäpäivä for service hours which also go to our CAS program. Altogether we stood there for 12 hours collecting money for the hungry(?) and actually ended up having a lot of fun. We made up songs (HUNGRYYYY, THEY ARE SOO HUNGRYYY, THEY HAVE NOBOODYYY, SO GIVE US YOUR MONEEEY, THEYRE ON THEIR OWNNNN <-- in the style of akons "lonely"), we got lots of compliments from grannys, lots of complaints from grannies (COME STAND HERE YOURSELF I MEAN JESUS), we ate like 7 kilos of food per hour, laughed until our sixpacks came out of hiding (lol no) and gathered like 1000 euros altogether! A few tips on what you should bring with you in case you ever choose to do this:
1) Food.. and coffee, you WILL need energy for all the smiling
2) pepper spray, drunk men will find you and want to take you home
3) A backup plan for if someone asks you where the money is going (ours was haiti)
4) flats or converses, DO NOT WEAR HEELS OR YOU WILL NEVER FEEL YOUR FEET AGAIN
4) A pure and welcoming smile so people can approach you
5) A great sense of humour like us bagels have
6) Make sure your nametag is on the front of your vest at all times
7) last but not least always have your eyes on your collectors box thingy because people CAN approach you from the back and you will be suprised and not ready for this (isnt that right my dear veggie b?)(that's right CSB, i learned my lesson)

Two men that will never leave us: Ben & Jerry
So you all know what we're gonna be talking about. The little packets that seem to have come straight from heaven: Ben & Jerry's ice cream. So our first post will be listing all of the Ben & Jerry's Ice cream flavors into order, from best to worst. So next time you're standing in front of the freezer at the supermarket, trying desperately to choose just one and yet find it impossible, this will help you make up ur mind. First we will have VB's list:
- Half baked - "A flavor i fell in love with immediately, it combines cookie dough and brownies perfectly, and u just cant stop eating it. tho after uve eaten it all u kinda wanna throw up cause u know its so sweet."
- New york super fudge chunk - "i just remember i love it but i cant really remember why, its been a long time since ive last had it. but its awesome. and not too sweet ! its like new york in a packet, with all the different elements working brilliantly as one."
- cherry garcia - "we have a love - hate relationship cause basicly i hate everything with cherry but ben and jerry knew how to make the perfect combination of cherry and dark chocolate, this is a rare delicious treat which i love, and in some way its my favorite, but i couldnt do that to half baked."
- chunky monkey - "u cant not love the banana shaped chocolate pieces , combined with the exotic taste of banana ice cream. perfection. and the nuts ! i love the nuts. tho i cant remember which nuts are used in this one."
- cookie dough - "this was my first love and even tho ive kinda gotten over it i had to rank it well. this is where it all began. im never gonna forget that first spoonful."
- baked alaska - "i looooooove it but its kinda boring so thats why it didnt do so well in this eh competition. u gotta have it at least once or twice tho, since it tastes pretty good."
- chocolate fudge brownie - "first three bites absolutely fabulous but u cant have any more than that. too sweet. and everyone knows u gotta eat the whole thing once you buy it."
- fairly nuts - "i love it but its not unique in a ben & jerry kinda way, but a good addition to their collection nevertheless. and i love the name!"
- phish food - "not one of my favorites. . ofc i eat it if i find it in the freezer but i wouldnt pay 6 euros for it myself. the marshmallow idea is cool but it doesnt really work in ice cream."
- vanilla toffee crunch - "it would be perfection but WE NEED MORE CRUNCHES . come on we re paying 6 euros for it, we deserve the crunches! thats why i dont buy it."
- strawberry cheesecake - "not bad at all but (FORGIVE ME BEN & JERRY) häagen & danz does it better. what can u do. so thats why its the second to last. u can never buy it since you know u could get it better from some place else"
- chocolate macadamia - "come on everyone can make chocolate icecream with nuts. my mom loves this one tho, dont know why. again not bad but its got nothing special to it."
And now for CSB's list:
COOKIE DOUGH: This is where the love story started. Cookie dough changed the way you look at things and gives you a new respect for life, it will always be my number one
HALF BAKED: Cookie dough + Brownies!!! its DELISH! its like.. two soulmates have finally found eachother. Xept that it is too sweet, but its worth throwing up for.
BAKED ALASKA: What can you say? vanilla, white chocolate and marshmallow = <3 AND THE WHITE CHOCOLATE IS SHAPED AS POLAR BEARS!! Big plus to that
CHOCOLATE FUDGE BROWNIE: mmmmmmm.. chocolate icecream with chocolate pieces and chocolate brownie pieces :) its gooooooooooood and yet so chocolatey
CHUNKY MONKEY: I mean.. the chocolate pieces are shaped like bananas? and banana icecream is goooood :) and the name!! chunkyyyy monkeyyyyy ;) okay moving on
VANILLA TOFFEE CRUNCH: The name says it all! Its perfectionn except my dear bagelfriend VB is right, where are the crunches? You get this big packet of icecream and theres only one crunch? RIPOFF IM TELLING YOU!!
STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE: Strawberry icecream? good Cheesecake good? Strawberry cheesecake = GOOOOOD
PHISH FOOD: Its okay.. Its like, nothing special. And the name is kinda wrong, you dont wanna name your icecream fish food
NEW YORK SUPER FUDGE CHUNK: Well its kinda like a cheap version of Chocolate fudge brownie. Its just.. not the same :( and im not a fan of nuts
FAIRLY NUTS: Well, im still not a fan of nuts..
CHERRY GARCIA: It would be good if it was normal chocolate, not dark.. Dark chocolate icecream doesnt do it for me.
CHOCOLATE MACADEMIA: Last and.. yes least. Its boring and its just not Ben & Jerry material :(
But Ben & Jerry have really stuck with us when things have gone wrong and us bagels would just like to say: WE LOVE YOU<3! and VB being the greenbean (like ecofriendly AND a food ;);) yeah okay) would like to thank Ben & Jerry's for doing a lot of fair trade products and organic stuff and are u know green and stuff
against global warming and yea.
THANKYOU FOR READING,
You know you love us
xoxo

entering the world of creative writing (and food)
Ok, so having a blog is something we haven't been doing before and probably wouldnt do if it wasnt for the IB. IB stands for International Baccalaureate and means that we are gonna have to work our asses off for the next two years and hopefully pass and get into some university/college abroad. IB isnt just about studying and talking english in the corridors, but we also have to do stuff like TOK (playing battleship), EE and the CAS, which stands for creativity, action and service. This blog is gonna get us creative CAS hours, and we are very excited cause not only do we get to write these awesome posts but also we get to eat. A lot.
We've agreed to commit at least one hour a week for this blog. That should be easy enough since we spend about 10 hours a week in restaurants and cafés anyway. Also we're going to cook when we feel like it, and that should be interesting, since CSB's specialty is noodles and VB does not have one. So we dont have a clue about cooking. But one part of the IB is learning how to be a risk-taker and think waaaay beyond the box. But yeah, so we're gonna be writing about our eating experiences, our new discoveries in the culinary world and maybe throw in some pathetic inside jokes or friends quotes every once in a while. So if youre reading Mr.Allen (Our loved CAS coordinator), this is where our journey to the world of creative writing starts!
Ps. this blog is NOT supposed to be taken seriously because we most certainly are not :) and sorry for the crap humour
